Still Seeking an Above-Board Process
for Management of the Garage Waiting List
A flyer was published alleging that a certain Board Member was granted
a spot even though not on the Garage Waiting List. I wrote to our Board
questioning this apparent lack of process. My interest at present is in
the process itself, and I declined to name the Board Member in my correspondence.

| Dear Members of the Garage Committee:
A flyer that was published and circulated last week
made the allegation that a Board Member was given
a spot although not on the Garage Waiting List. It
further alleged that this Board Member has no vehicle,
and that rather than having the spot put on hold,
as has been cited as the policy for other shareholders,
has been permitted to allocate that spot to a family
member.
I seek to determine if this information is correct,
and if so, I request clarification of circumstances
that warranted such an action.
I appreciate that the Garage Committee is taking the
task of improving the Garage Waiting List seriously.
I hope the evidence of problems that I have presented
in the past — coupled with the Board activity
that is taking place as a result — will convince
you that I am working towards an improvement of process
and transparency within SPHC, and that my aim is not
to defame or to stir up trouble.
Thank you for your attention.

I received a reply suggesting that I contact the Board Member in question
for a clarification of the specific circumstances. To this I replied:

I appreciate the suggestion that I contact the person
in question, but my question is more appropriately
addressed to (and aswered by) the Garage Committee.
I am not trying to investigate personal questions
so much as a procedural ones:
- Was someone who was not on the list was given
a spot? If so, how did that come to be?
- Is the person whose car is parked in that spot
a shareholder?
Respectfully,
